How to Build a Sunday Mass Slide Deck in Weeve

Weeve also builds 16:9 projection slide decks for Sunday Mass. The flow is similar to the print worship aid — pick a date, the readings load — but the output is a deck of slides sized for a projector or sanctuary screen rather than a folded paper bulletin.

PDF download is free. PowerPoint (.pptx) export requires a paid plan, but PDFs can be projected directly from a laptop with no PowerPoint license needed.

What you'll need before starting

• The Mass date.
• Hymn titles for entrance, offertory, communion, and recessional.
• (Optional) Saved AI-generated cover art or images you want to slot between sections — see Image Slides below.

1. Open the slide builder

Go to the slide deck builder. The page is a single scrolling form with collapsible sections — there is no multi-step wizard here.

2. Pick the date

Select the Mass date at the top. Weeve fetches the lectionary readings (First Reading, Psalm, Second Reading, Gospel) and the liturgical title automatically. Switch language between English and Spanish if needed.

3. Hymn selections

Expand the Hymn Selections section and enter titles for entrance, offertory, communion, and recessional. Each appears as a title slide before the corresponding part of the Mass.

4. Responsorial Psalm

Decide how the psalm appears on screen:

• Parsed — verses and refrain rendered cleanly across multiple slides.
• Custom refrain — type in your parish's musical refrain to replace the lectionary version.
• Skip — omit psalm slides if your cantor is handling it without projection.

5. Prayers to include

Toggle which prayers get their own slides: Gloria, Creed, Sanctus, Memorial Acclamation, Lord's Prayer, Lamb of God. Defaults match a typical Sunday Mass.

6. Theme and text size

Under Slide Theme, pick a background and typography style. Under Text Size, scale up if you're projecting to a large nave where back-pew readability matters; scale down if you're in a small chapel.

7. Image slides (optional)

Under Image Slides, drop saved AI-generated art or your own images between sections of the deck. This is great for a quiet contemplative slide after Communion, or a feast-day image at the entrance. Generate cover art at the AI art tool first; saved images then appear in the picker.

8. Separators, branding, parish

• Blank Separators — insert black slides between sections of the Mass. Useful if your projector remote needs an obvious "intermission" between pieces.
• Branding — paid accounts can hide the small "made with Weeve" footer.
• Parish — the parish name and pastor appear on the title slide.

9. Download

Click Download PDF for the 16:9 deck — free for anyone, and projectable directly from any laptop. Paid plans can also export .pptx for editing in PowerPoint.

10. Save it (optional)

Sign in and save to keep the deck at your dashboard. Free accounts save 1 slide deck; paid plans save unlimited.

Tips and gotchas

• Projection-sized PDFs are large — preview on the actual projector at least once, especially the psalm slides where text wrap matters most.
• Profile defaults — language, theme, prayer toggles, text scale, and the black-separators toggle all save on your profile page so they apply automatically to future decks.
