Wedding Patron Saints
The Catholic Church has long invoked particular saints as patrons of marriage, family, and the home. These intercessors include married couples (Sts. Priscilla and Aquila, Bl. Luigi and Maria Quattrocchi), parents (Sts. Joachim and Anne), patrons of difficult marriages (St. Rita, St. Monica), and the foundational patron of every Catholic family — Saint Joseph, husband of Mary and foster father of Jesus.

- The Blessed Virgin MaryFeast day: January 1 (Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God); August 15 (Assumption); many other Marian feastsThe Mother of Jesus and Mother of the Church. Catholic devotion turns to her as the great intercessor for marriage, family life, and at the hour of death.
- Saints Priscilla and AquilaFeast day: July 8A first-century married couple who were close collaborators of Saint Paul, hosting the early Church in their home and traveling with him in mission.
- Saints Joachim and AnneFeast day: July 26The parents of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Patrons of grandparents, parents, married couples, and those who long for the gift of children.
- Blessed Luigi and Maria Beltrame QuattrocchiFeast day: November 25A 20th-century Italian married couple, the first to be beatified together (2001). Patrons of marriage and family life in the modern Church.
- Saint Rita of CasciaFeast day: May 22A 14th-century Italian saint who endured a difficult marriage with exceptional patience, then became an Augustinian nun. Patroness of impossible causes and difficult marriages.
- Saint MonicaFeast day: August 27The mother of Saint Augustine, who prayed for his conversion for nearly 30 years. Patroness of mothers and of those whose loved ones have wandered from the faith.
- Saint ValentineFeast day: February 14A third-century Roman martyr traditionally associated with marriage and lovers. Patron of engaged couples and the inspiration for Valentine's Day.
- The Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and JosephFeast day: Sunday within the octave of Christmas (or December 30 if no Sunday occurs)The household of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph at Nazareth — the model the Catholic Church holds out to every Christian family.
- Saint Frances of RomeFeast day: March 9A 15th-century married Roman noblewoman who balanced family life, charity, and deep mystical prayer. Patroness of married women and Benedictine oblates.
