Trust Through Suffering
Some lives end after long suffering. Some deaths come hard. These readings do not pretend otherwise. Job's "I know that my Vindicator lives" rises out of catastrophic loss. Lamentations names the depths before turning to hope. Psalm 42 thirsts for God like a deer panting for streams of water. Romans 8 acknowledges that "the whole creation groans in labor pains." Choose from this list when the family needs Scripture that meets them in the truth of what they are bearing.
