The Father's House

Catholic tradition has long called heaven the Father's house. These readings give the home that awaits its biblical contours: the many dwelling places Jesus speaks of in John 14, the new Jerusalem of Revelation 21, the city pilgrims rejoice to enter in Psalm 122. The deceased's long pilgrimage is over; they have arrived. Choose from this list when you want the funeral to name the destination that gives the journey its meaning.
